Betty and Benny excitedly set off to the field of sunflowers, but soon discover something that will endanger their hive family and they must figure out a way to stop it. How will they solve their problem? Of course, ask the farm animals to help! Bee-Cause We Care is a fictional children’s picture book with an underlying message of raising awareness of a global issue. My target audience will be children between 2 1/2- 6. I see parents, teachers, and grandparents reading Bee-cause We Care and taking advantage of a teachable moment. The rhyming verses are catchy and the illustrations are endearing.
